A Guide to Online Executive MBA Programs

Has it been verified that Executive MBA programs can lead to more lucrative occupational positions for students. The Executive MBA course has been proven to assist many professionals' journeys towards their aims and aspirations. But for those who have full-time jobs or families to take care of, the chance to return to school tends to be unlikely.

The presence of Net-based courses solves the issue neatly, though. Of course, you have to do your research before you yourself sign up for this attractive option. That out of the way, we now move on to some false assumptions people often make about the course.

One misconception deals with the supposedly swift progress of lessons in the course and its low fees. In fact, many universities' tuition fees for the two are practically equal, based on credits alone. Indeed, even some of the best packages for tuition fees are not of such a low figure as to merit the assertions of these being bargain-basement versions of the conventional EMBA.

Still, there is some truth to the assertions that you can save some money with these courses. You actually save money in the course due to it no longer being necessary to shell out money for things like petrol and rent. The materials too do not incur added charges because of the fact that they are provided for free online.

Most of the EMBAs ask for participants to complete 36 hours of credit. With that said, it must take you about two years to finish the program if you enroll as a full-time student. Be wary of signing up for a class, though, if it claims that it can get you your certification in under an annum.

The Net-based classes are also said to be easy to do. The truth is that the Web courses are actually only easier in terms of scheduling. This obviously does not mean that you have simpler or more elementary lessons with which to contend.

In reality, it is just as difficult. You are still required write down notes, compose essays, read books and prepare for exams; you may even have to prepare a thesis for certain programs. The absence of professors from your side may even render it harder than the conventional course if you are not used to studying by yourself.

Of course, there are other ways of communicating with class members, including instant messaging and so on. Naturally, these still lack the immediacy of traditional communication. But online education is designed for the independent types.

Yet another thing to clear up has to do with the misunderstanding that all Internet courses are the same. The quality and features of these programs can vary widely. An accredited program is clearly more valuable than an unaccredited program, for example.

Of course, you shall not find all your options on the USDE list. If it is not there, you may use the College Navigator to check the school’s accreditation. Overall, executive MBA programs are still worthwhile alternatives for those who cannot pursue an EMBA the conventional way.
